WEA tutor Susie Knowles taught the ‘Printmaking with art and design onto textile using digital media’ class and took her group to Fleetwood museum for their inspiration.
Using Fleetwood’s fishing industry to stimulate ideas the group took photographs of the exhibits and of the trawler ‘Jacinta’.
Learners then used their creative flair to manipulate the photos using Adobe Photoshop and then silk screened or digitally printed the image onto the squares of calico which were further decorated with embroidery and craftwork.
