From the Ties to the Past Project

Inspired by the wool and cotton industry exhibits at Helmshore Mills Textile Museum learners took photographs for use in their work.

Learners developed hand knitting skills and made pom-poms to create their quilt squares using conventional and recycled wool materials. They produced innovative textile collages using a range of techniques to apply materials including photo transfer.
