WEActive

WEActive is a volunteering project that aims to recruit and train volunteers to set up and run WEA learning circles which have a focus upon some form of justice issue.

Volunteers will be trained in the key skills of how to run a learning circle and will also receive training on specific tools and methods to use when running a learning circle that are likely to be helpful in achieving an outcome of some form of action.  

The WEA recognise that many organisations exist to further the goals of justice and that many organisations already have learning resources and materials that can be useful to the volunteers on this project. We will seek partnerships with these organisations so that we can make these materials and resources available to the volunteers running learning circles.

Our first training for volunteers will take place in January or February of 2011.
