Provision in this curriculum area is largely organised in the Community Involvement Strand.

It is mainly targeted at communities and adults with less access or confidence in the general use of ICT. The provision is highly contextualised, often linked with partner organisations or located in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Its main aim is to reduce the ‘digital divide’ and promote ‘e-access’.
